Support us
There are lots of ways you can help the Buckenham Ancient Woodland Trust (BAWT), we welcome and appreciate any and all contributions.
Donate
Donate to our crowdfund. At the moment our priority is raising enough money to purchase the central piece of woodland. Once we've raised the money for the purchase we'll be raising money to support the management and conservation of the woods.
All contributions to support the charitable trust in its objectives are greatly appreciated - every penny counts... thank you.
Volunteer
The work of the charity is only possible through the help of volunteers. Our work is inclusive and we welcome anyone who is keen to get involved – there’s always plenty to be done! You can give as little or as much time as you have.
We are really keen to find someone who can coordinate our volunteers, as well fundraisers and fundraising co-coordinators, or anyone with marketing and communication experience.
We currently work in groups and these are detailed below to give some idea of the many different aspects you could help with.
Fundraising and Finance - fundraising and fundraising co-ordination, financial experience such as accounting, auditing, insurance and potentially investing for sustainable income generation.

Become a Member
To be an effective charity we need members.
You can be a volunteer, or a member, but ideally we would like you to be both.
Membership is completely free and anyone can become a member as long as they support the aims of the charity which are to acquire, conserve and utilise the central section of the woods as a peaceful place for people to go and enjoy nature. The constitution, which explains the role of members in more detail, is on the website and can also be viewed here:
The main role of members is to hold the trustees to account and oversee their work. Members get to look at the accounts, and raise both suggestions and any concerns about the work of the charity if they wish, and are responsible for voting for both trustee appointments and resolutions. This involvement from you would mostly be at the Spring annual general meeting.
To become a member simply fill out this form, and one of the team will get in touch.
If you represent an organisation and wish to apply for corporate membership, please email: info@buckenhamancientwoodland.org.
You can resign from your membership at any time by emailing to the address above.
